Dr. Siobhán Ní Dhonacha - Faculty Specialist - Honors / RAPS, & Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Design Team Member and Fellow at University of Hawai'i, United States

Dr. Ní Dhonacha's primary teaching and research areas focus on Empowerment Advising & Teaching©, experiential learning, enhancing connection and learning in the digital space, resilience, critical thinking in the 21st Century, rich writing praxis, the philosophy and ethics of care in academic policy and praxis, high achieving students, holistic mentoring, emotional intelligence, cognitive development, student persistence, diversity and equity, and actively supporting the University of Hawai‘i to be a Native Hawaiian place of learning through curriculum design and advising practice. 

 

Dr. Ní Dhonacha is from Ireland, and has studied in London, New York, Washington State, and Hawai‘i earning a PhD in Education with a focus on the Ethics of Care, Higher Education Policy/Philosophy, and Student Success Strategies, and a Graduate Certificate in Online Learning and Teaching (COLT) from the UHM College of Education.
